Another torchy's adventure

Ok tried out the new Torchy's Tacos on lamar blvd and what can I say same Torchy's,the best in the city. Service was past great. This torchy's gave me the feeling of being in a real nationally acclaimed restaurant(i wish there was one in Atlanta). I m still full got a lot of food as usual and spent a little bit of money. And for my foursquarers I had a chance to photograph Jen the mayor. I m out til next time,i got my Abitas(strawberry lager) from specs and a few cigars test out.bless

People the dicers are something that has changed my dj life. I am now equipped with midi controllers that fit on the turntable.

Novation Dicer: cue-point, looping and FX control for Digital DJs:

This palm-sized cue point and looping controller has been designed to fit exactly where you need it: on your turntables, CDJs, mixer or laptop. Dicer always ships in pairs - one for each side.

Dicer works with almost any DJ software and it is optimised for use with:

• Serato Scratch Live

• Traktor Scratch Duo/Pro

• Traktor Pro

A pair of Dicer gives you a total of 60 buttons:

Dicer can trigger samples, cue-points, loops and FX. You can use Dicer to browse through playlists, nudge tracks backwards and forwards or it can be freely assigned to whatever functions you want. Coloured LEDs behind each button tell you what mode you are in.

Dicer was designed by Novation in collaboration with Ean Golden - DJ and curator of DJ Tech Tools. Ean came up with the concept of a controller that fits on the turntable, and his contribution has been crucial in helping Novation design and develop Dicer.

On a busy sxsw thursday my wife decides to tell me she is going to help feed at Austin resource center for the homless. I had a early show that day and i didn't mind the idea of helping out the homeless because I have been in their shoes. So upon arrival we were greeted ny one of the chefs and given our list of things to do. There was three of us that showed up to help early, and got everything ready just in time. Dinner time started and the people poured into the cafeteria with ticket in hand for dinner. The time went by fast as more people filled the room. Overall everyone was happy to see us and thanked us for our efforts and I thanked them for the oppurtunity to serve them. God works in crazy ways. So at the end of dinner time we took of our aprons and fixed our to go plate. We hadn't ate for the most part of the day,so by the time we got home and heated up the food(chicken parmesan) it taste like we had just ordered a to go plate at a five star restaurant. SXSW DJ MIST Schedule

Ok here is my schedule for south by south west, Due to some contractual mishaps and other business things(aka pay me my money) I am djing for two famed bands around the globe. On wedensday March 16th 20ll i have three shows with Done Deal, and here is the schedule. The day starts @headhunters(720 Red River) at 4:30 pm. The second show is @charlies(1104 E. sixth)@10:30. The final show to end the day is @lucky lounge(209-A W. Fifth) @ 12:45 am(what a DAY). On Thursday i will be performing with Purple Diesel @Maggie Mae's(323 E. Sixth) @ 1:00 pm. Torchys taco

I have turned many people on to torchy's since I first ate it. Ironically enough I was shopping for needles at guitar center from my buddies matt and adam, when told me about this magical place. So we went and have been torchy heads every since. This is our last endevour.

Best and worst of austin(food)

Here is a a sandwich I had not prepared for. Upon first moving to austin I heard about Schlotsky's deli,a place everyone talked about for lunch. So while out gear hunting me and the wife stopped by for a quick lunch break. The price was up there for me(not something I would spend daily) but I wanted to see what it was about. So we sat down while i sipped on some invigorating raspberry lemonade, and just as I turn here comes the "Sammich." Needless to say I could only eat 1/4 of it. Great service,great atmosphere at this anderson lane location. I shall go back and conquer this "Sammich." Leggo
